Dead Can Be Seen With New Senses Says Fritz Kunz
Declares Faculties Developing Which Will Make Individuals Responsive to Pressure of Spirits
Man was not made in the image of God but is, through the process of evolution, gradually absorbing the qualities of the Infinite and will in the course of time acquire the image, according to Fritz Kunz, lecturer from the American Theosophical Society, who spoke last night at the Arthur Building auditorium on “Psychic Senses and Spirituality.”
There are yet two underdeveloped senses in the individual, he said. These transfer emotional and mental activities and make the individual responsive to the presence of sprits. The present civilization is on the verge of acquiring the new faculties, according to Mr. Kunz.
“But America, forward as she is in other developments, is backward in the spiritual,” he said. “The American civilization is a jazz civilization. Everything must have a kick in it. The country is too materialistic. Even the church is becoming materialistic and coarse.” The country is one mass of jangling emotional nerves. These are not the best conditions for the development of the finer senses. The use of narcotics and the eating of meat are also detrimental, for they coarsen the individual.”
The lecturer broadcast a message on “Psychic Wireless” through arrangements made by The Omaha Bee before the main address was given. He lectures Sunday night on “Theosophy and Occultism.”
